Modenese Gastone works classic furniture in solid cherry, walnut and mahogany, with 24k gold-leaf gilding, Carrara and other fine marble tops, and silk damask, velvet, brocade or tufted-leather upholstery. Finishes run from high-gloss lacquer to aged patina and beeswax, matched to any RAL Classic reference and recorded for every villa or palace order.
Structure comes first, because a large room asks more of a frame. Solid hardwood carries the carving and holds the joints, so frames are built in walnut, cherry or mahogany with mortise, tenon and screw reinforcement. The wood choice sets both the depth the carver can cut and the finish that will suit it.
Decoration and surface follow. 24k gold leaf is laid over carved gesso and sealed under a clear coat; marble tops are honed or polished and set into shaped frames; upholstery is chosen by use, with silk and brocade for formal seating and tufted leather where wear is heavier.
