One workshop town
Manufacturing has stayed in Casale di Scodosia since 1818, with the Milan studio at Via Arbe 81 added only in 2024 for design coordination. Carving and gilding have never left Veneto.
Company
Modenese Gastone has carved classic furniture in Casale di Scodosia since 1818. The atelier has stayed in the same Veneto town across seven generations, adding a Milan studio in 2024 and showrooms abroad, while keeping carving and finishing in Italy for villas and palaces worldwide.

Modenese Gastone has made classic furniture since 1818 in Casale di Scodosia, in the province of Padua. The family now works in its seventh generation; Gastone Modenese, who led the fourth, lived from 1924 to 2021. Carving and finishing have stayed in the same Veneto town for over two centuries.
The house kept manufacturing where it began. Rather than move production abroad, Modenese Gastone carves, gilds and finishes in Casale di Scodosia and coordinates design from a Milan studio at Via Arbe 81, opened in April 2024. That split keeps the craft in Veneto and the client conversation in Milan, close to the villa and palace projects it serves.
The reach grew outward from Italy. Showrooms opened in Moscow in 2004, Dubai in 2010, and Lagos and Abuja in 2015, supporting export and installation worldwide. The collections and the materials show what that history produces for a large home today; the contact page reaches the Veneto atelier directly.
Three things have carried through the Modenese Gastone history since 1818: one workshop town, an unbroken family line, and hand finishing. Each is still visible in the furniture the atelier ships to villas and palaces today.

The family has passed the atelier down seven times. Gastone Modenese (1924 to 2021) led the fourth generation; the seventh works there now, keeping carving patterns and finish recipes consistent across a set.
The work serves villas, palaces, luxury residences, hotels and government offices. The same hand finishing listed on the materials page reaches all of them, from Milan out to showrooms in Moscow, Dubai, Lagos and Abuja.
